Dolphins!
We saw a pod swimming past on a high tide in the morning on Monday 4th November, with an excited bunch of kids in eights following them up river. We hoped to catch up or see them as they returned, but no luck this time.

To be held at Edgewater College, with special 2013 cocktail and viewing/auctions of the photography competition entries. We will also announce the winners, and preview the calendar for 2014 using these best 12 shots. Bring cash or cheque books!

Bennett Shield Regatta at Lake Pupuke Sat 23 Nov
Masters please advise Raechel if you want to attend/row. Seat fee $4.50 to the organisers. Check first with crew members if you're intending to specify crews please. There seems to be lots of events for Masters. The beauty of this one is that the boats are already over there...
The following day Sun 24th is ARA regatta same location, and it has 3 events for masters, plus 3 for recreational rowers. You can look up details on rowit http://www.rowit.co.nz/regattas/arfc2013. The talk at the Masters breakfast yesterday was that the Head of the Yarra crews will not race at the Sunday regatta, but instead will try to get hold of 2 eights so they can train on the Tamaki together instead.

All keen Blue Lakers, here is your reminder - January Rotorua very busy, book your accommodation for the regatta asap please. Yvonne has recommended the Havana and has emailed you with their details. Do not dilly dally or you may not have a chalet.
